You will learn to love wine hah, if you want to or not. I mean of course its not just alcohol thats expensive, but clothes and food as well.

Here are some clothing styles that are pretty popular in Melbourne.

Vans are really popular here, but they will cost you about 90$ 

These ankle boots are really popular here, you can sometimes find some for 40$, but normally about 80$

If you are planning to come here, dont bother even bringing half of your clothes because as soon as you get here, you will want to throw them all away and go shopping. The shopping is pretty awesome here. 

This is about what the typical Victorian looks like. Everyone dresses really well and stylish, not matter what age. Even the elderly dress well, there are no doofy tennis shoes here. Also, people do not wear scrubby jeans with a tee-shirt, its always styled well. If you come, make sure you dont dress a fool!!
